Tsukasa was born and raised in Hyogo, Japan. He received his B.Sc., M.S., and Ph.D. degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Tokyo under the supervision of Prof. Masayuki Inoue, where he involved in the total synthesis of structurally complex C19-diterpenoid alkaloids. In August 2022, Tsukasa moved to UIUC and joined the Sarlah group as a JSPS postdotoral fellow, where he continues to pursue the studies in the field of methodology development and methodology-driven total synthesis of biologically active natural products.
