Kayla is originally from Lancaster, CA. She received a B.S. in chemistry from California State University, Long Beach, where she synthesized grew up in Chester, New Jersey. She received a B.S. in chemistry from the University of Notre Dame, where inhibitors of the enzyme butyrylcholinesterase as a potential treatment for Alzheimer’s Disease in Dr. Kensaku Nakayama’s lab. In her free time, she enjoys baking, writing, and reading.
