Eric was born and raised in Chatham, Ontario, Canada. He obtained an H.B.Sc. in Integrated Science with a concentration in chemical biology from McMaster University. While at McMaster, Eric completed the total synthesis of the geranylated isoindolinone natural products corallocin B&C, isohericerin, and hericerin A under the supervision of Prof. Jakob Magolan. After moving to the US and joining our lab in 2023, Eric continues to work on the total synthesis of complex natural products. Outside of the lab Eric enjoys cooking, playing volleyball, and skating as much as he can at the UIUC ice arena.
